Window Conservation

As commonly required within the planning conditions of historic buildings, the existing sash windows at this Grade II listed country estate were to be preserved and restored.

To carry out the refurbishment, a full assessment was undertaken, looking at each window on a case-by-case basis to determine the level of refurbishment required. Following this, the windows were carefully removed, deconstructed, and fully repaired in our on-site joinery workshop.

Once restored and newly decorated, the windows were reinstalled, and the sash pulleys were weighted and adjusted to ensure that they open and close smoothly.
