Farmyard at The Newt

Working for The Newt in Somerset, original farm buildings were sensitively restored to create this unparalleled hotel in Somerset. In keeping with the vernacular of the English landscape, the hotel features a collection of buildings both modern and traditional in their construction and aesthetic. The original nine buildings have been transformed into 17 hotel rooms, an indoor pool and spa, an all-day restaurant and more.  

The construction of new build hotel accommodation was also undertaken to match the existing structures and a threshing barn was converted into a big open-fire show kitchen. Alongside the large package on the main house and surrounding buildings, extensive landscaping remodelling, piling, underpinning, and excavation work was also undertaken.
